Alex Salois
Alex is a music and math teacher with the Waterloo Region District School Board and a passionate performer with a love for musical theatre. Past roles include Music Director of Dogfight, Nigel in Something Rotten, Bob Enright in 9 to 5 and Count Leopold in Anastasia. He is thrilled to be sharing the stage and singing alongside friends in this showcase!

Amrita Badial
Amrita is so excited to be participating in Singer Studio’s concert. She’s been singing with Jen since she was six years old, and has participated in many of her projects including a 2019 music video covering Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left To Cry.” She has competed in musical theatre and pop categories at the Hamilton Music Festival many times and has performed in countless concerts of Jen’s over the years. Thank you to her family and Jen for all of the support!

Antonio Kartalianakis
While Antonio isn’t technically a student of Singer Studio (big shoutout to Tom Oliver / Voice Concepts)… he is a big supporter of the studio and is thrilled to share the stage with such incredible performers! Rumour has it he also happens to like performing with the studio owner. Recent credits include: Evita & Jesus Christ Superstar (Brott Music Festival);Legally Blonde, The Sound of Music, and Spamalot (Theatre Ancaster). Antonio is incredibly proud of each and every one of the singers and all of their hard work. Enjoy the show!

Ashlyn Brown
Ashlyn is a dedicated vocalist and musical theatre performer with 10 production credits to her name. Recent highlights include playing Patrick Star in SpongeBob Jr. and Karen in Mean Girls Jr. (KooGle Theatre Company), as well as appearing in Alice in Wonderland Jr., Mary Poppins Jr., and as a GLEE choralist (Stage 2 - Theatre Ancaster). She has been training with Singer Studio over the last year and extends a big thank you to Jen. In her free time, Ashlyn loves reading romance novels.

Avery Arruda
Avery is a newcomer to Singer Studio and is working hard to build her knowledge and skill for singing. Her love for theatre and performing shines through, especially when she is on stage. Avery has been cast twice as Gretel in the Sound Of Music and is excited for what’s next to come.

Bianca Hopkins
Bianca is in her 9th year with Singer Studio and is so excited to perform with everyone again! As a 4th year student at the University of Toronto, Bianca still finds time to perform. Recent show credits include Rusty in Footloose and Ilse in Spring Awakening with Hart House Theatre in Toronto. Her next upcoming project is a new musical called Little Astronaut which is premiering in the Toronto Fringe Festival this July. Thank you to her friends and family for always supporting her, hope you enjoy!

Brian Bertolissio
Brian started his community arts adventure with Glee Social Club in 2024! He played a righteous brother in EMP’s BEAUTIFUL and has most recently performed as Boland in Crown Point Players’ Dogfight. Brian is excited to be performing today among the very talented musicians of singer studio.

Clara Gillies
This is Clara's first year with Singer Studio and she is thrilled to be in the company of so many talented performers and wonderful people. Clara has performed in a number of musicals, including Oliver!, Pirates of Penzance Jr., Mary Poppins Jr., Alice in Wonderland Jr. (Theatre Ancaster), and Legally Blonde Jr. (CCPAC). Later this week, Clara will be taking part in OMFA Provincial Finals (thank you to Jen for all her support!). She was also recently selected as valedictorian for her Grade 8 commencement. In addition to singing, Clara is a dedicated pianist, having recently completed her grade 7 RCM exam. She will be attending the Audition Based Program of the Arts at Glendale Secondary School this fall.

Erin Karpiel
Erin is thrilled to be performing in her first Singer Studio concert. She’s been singing since the age of six; it’s still her favourite thing to do and brings her endless joy. In recent years she has worked with Crown Point Players, BurlOak Theatre Group and Drury Lane Theatrical Productions and you can catch her in the upcoming Glee Social Club showcase. Thanks to Jen for her wealth of knowledge and constant encouragement!

Hadley Gardiner
Hadley has been singing since she was a toddler and has loved being part of Singer Studio for the past couple of years. She especially enjoys learning from Jen, who has helped her grow in confidence and skill. A true music enthusiast, Hadley loves all kinds of music, with Taylor Swift remaining a favourite. Outside of singing, she enjoys playing soccer and spending time with family and friends. Thank you to her family for their endless encouragement and support.

Janet Delsey
Janet is happy to be back for her second Singer Studio concert. She has spent over 30 years performing in various productions and confidently pretending she knows what she’s doing. She sends a big thank you to Jen for her encouragement and guidance, and wishes her and Tony much joy as they head toward their upcoming nuptials.

Janette Patterson
Janette is delighted to be taking part in her third Singer Studio performance. Since January 2025, she has been honing her vocal skills under the expert guidance of Jen and is thrilled with the progress she’s making. A lifelong music enthusiast, Janette has been singing with various ensembles since the age of 16 and also enjoys playing the piano. She loves using her musical gifts in the service of God and for her church family, often sharing her talent during Sunday worship. Away from the stage, Janette keeps busy with her husband and three boys, balancing family life with her passion for music.

Jayda January
Jayda is thrilled to be performing for another Singer Studio concert! Recent credits include Theatre Ancaster’s GLEE (2026), OMFA Provincial Finalist (2026), Children’s Vocal Ensemble – Brott Music Festival’s Evita (2024). When not singing, Jayda enjoys playing basketball, piano, and caring for animals. Jayda thanks her family for their love and support. She would also like to thank Jen for always believing in her and challenging her to grow.

Jenn Wearden
Jenn is a 20-year-old vocalist with Myriad Ensemble in Burlington. She finds joy in both solo and choral performance, and wishes to thank Jen Budd for her generous guidance and for the opportunity to share her music in this recital.

Kaelyn Campbell
Kaelyn is excited to perform in her third concert. She began lessons at Singer Studio in December 2024 and recently participated in the Hamilton Music Festival, where she was awarded the Joan Heels Vocal Award Fund voice scholarship. Singing has always been a joyful, expressive outlet for her—both on stage and just for fun.

Kathryn loves singing at Singer Studio and is happy to be back at another concert! Their recent credits include: Billie Bendix in Drury Lanes “Nice Work, If You Can Get It”, Producer for Crown Point Players “Dogfight” (2026), Cinderella, in Connect Theatres “Into The Woods” (2025), Crown Point Players “35mm: A Musical Exhibition” (2024).

Lynn Doxtater
Lynn Doxtater has been singing since a young age; Participating in Broadway, Gospel, and Classical choirs. In recent years, she has enjoyed singing with Burloak Theatre Group in their panto "Freezing" and as Mrs. Cohen in RENT with Theatre Ancaster. She would like to thank Jennifer for her incredible vocal knowledge, her positivity, and her encouragement. Thank you to her family for their constant support!

Madeleine Szlafarski
Maddy is an actor and musical theatre enthusiast who has been studying at Singer Studio for the past two years. Being part of the Singer Studio community has been an inspiring and enjoyable experience, and she is thrilled to perform alongside everyone at this year's concert. She is grateful to Jen for her thoughtful guidance and encouragement, and sends lots of love to her family, friends and partner for their ongoing support.

Marley January
Marley is a passionate performer who adores music. She loves basketball, animals and finds joy in all things arts! Recent credits include Soloist - the Hamilton Music Festival (2026), OMFA Provincial Finalist (2026) and the children’s vocal ensemble in the Brott Music Festival's "Evita" (2024). Marley is grateful for the love and support of her family. She would also like to thank Jen, for your unwavering support, patience, and dedication.

Michelle Woolner
Michelle is thrilled to join Singer Studio! With a passion for music, Michelle has been learning piano since 5 and is currently working on RCM Level 10. She also started learning violin at age 7 and she is right now at RCM Level 9. Michelle’s journey in singing started with Hamilton Children’s Choir and she’s been taking private vocal training since 7. At age 10, she developed huge passion for musical theatre and started performing at Theatre Ancaster. Michelle has also competed in HMF, OMFA, and NATS Ontario Vocal Showcase since 2021.

Natalie Williams
Natalie is a Grade 12 student at Nelson High School. In the fall, she will be attending St. Clair College for the Music Theatre Performance Program, where she is eager to continue her education in musical theatre. Some of her recent work has been: 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse (2026), Pullman Car Hiawatha (2025), Human After All (2025), and Evita (2025). She has been training at Singer Studio for the past four years and is excited to continue developing her skills. Natalie would like to thank her friends and family for their support and hopes you enjoy the show!

Nora Greenspoon
Nora is so excited to join her sister and her Singer Studio Family on stage tonight. Nora is coming off a successful run of GLEE! and Alice in Wonderland Jr (Cheshire Cat) (Theatre Ancaster). Select credits include, The Sound of Music (Marta) (Theatre Ancaster), GLEE! (Theatre Ancaster). Nora is heading off to perform at OMFA next week. Nora loves to sing, dance and swims competitively. Nora would like to express her heartfelt thanks to her music teachers. A big thank you to her amazing family and friends and to Jen!

Norah Green
Norah has been studying with Jen for over a year, and is very excited for her third studio recital! She has a natural love for singing, and has participated in various choirs in the community. She also participated in the Hamilton Music Festival in spring 2025 and 2026. She would like to thank Jen for supporting her in her musical journey, and her family for always believing in her, note after note.

Peyton Brookes
Peyton brookes is very excited to be in another one of Jen’s concerts! This year she was part of the cast for theatre Ancaster’s “Glee” and top placements at the Hamilton Music Festival. She is currently in Curtain call for Legally Blonde, playing Serena. And also in theatre Ancaster’s Drowsy Chaperone, playing ensemble! She is very excited and grateful to be in the concert and surrounded by so many talented people! She wants to thank all her friends and family for always supporting her, and of course Jen and Tony!

Rob Arnold
This is Rob’s first concert with Singer Studio and has thoroughly enjoyed expanding his knowledge and skills. Rob is a long-time member of the Barbershop Harmony Society which has provided most of his music education and performance background. Rob also enjoys performing in Musical Theatre recently with groups within the Encore series and Theatre Ancaster as well as Ballroom dance with Arthur Murray in Mississauga.

Rob Brookes
Rob is thrilled to be participating in his third concert with Singer Studio! He has a love and passion for singing and since joining Jen in January 2025, has been able to broaden his horizons because of doors that singing with Jen have opened. In addition to this concert, Rob also performs with the Crown Point Players theatrical group, which was co-founded by one of the other VERY talented students of Singer Studio! He experienced his first role in the production of Dogfight that was put on by Crown Point Players in February!! He is also participating in OMFA provincials on June 13. Rob continues to learn, and grow his skills, and will continue exploring theatrical roles as well as looking to front a band! Don’t forget to come sing with him at Karaoke on Thursday nights at Legends Grill on Greenhill Ave!

Samantha Craig
Wrapping up another year with Singer Studio and so happy with her growth! Samantha is honing her skills and has been a part of many great projects including “Evita” (Brott Festival), recording a song for a local baseball team, and you can see her shine on stage in her school plays, one of which was entered into the CBC music festival.
Singing is a joy for her and she is so happy to perform for you today.

Sofie Greenspoon
Sofie is thrilled to be back on stage with her Singer Studio Family. Sofie is finishing her first year in ABPA at Glendale in Vocal Arts and Contemporary Music. Select credits include, The Sound of Music (Luisa), Oliver (Fagin’s Gang)! and Pirates of Penzance Jr. (Theatre Ancaster). Pollyanna the Musical and A Christmas Story (Theatre Aquarius). Sofie’s also performed in GLEE! since it’s first year and is excited to return. She is performing at OMFA next week. She would like to thank her music teachers for always supporting her. Sofie loves to sing, play piano and her new electric guitar, dance, and spend time with her golden retriever. A big thank you to her family, friends and Jen!

Spencer Yen
Spencer is a Grade 7 student at Strata Montessori School in Ancaster who loves to perform. She adores animals and shares her home with a cat and rescue dog. She also plays rep basketball for Ancaster Blitz. Spencer started performing at the age of 8. She has previous experience with Theatre Ancaster's Glee (2024–2026) and the Hamilton Children’s Choir.
She is grateful for her parents’ support and her vocal coach Jennifer Budd.

Christabel Pinto
Music is Christabel’s life! She is a much sought after Music Director and Collaborative Pianist who accompanies and coaches for many string and voice studios.
Christabel has 45 years experience as a choral director, organist and accompanist.
She was the Music Director at StoneyCreek United church for 31 years, and started a new position at St. Augustine’s Parish in 2022.
She obtained a B.A from McMaster University, and a B.Ed from Brock University.
Christabel is the recipient of several awards, including: The Lee Hepner Award, The Margaret Oswald Memorial, Intermediate Finalist for the Hamilton Kiwanis Festival (3 consecutive years), and the winner of the Reginald Bedford Gold Medal. Christabel teaches at Theatre Aquarius and is the Music Director & Accompanist for both, Tempus Chorus in Oakville and Theatre Ancaster Chorus

Jennifer Budd
Jennifer Budd is a voice teacher, singer, songwriter, and performer. Budd released her debut album “Lip Service” in 2015. She won “Best New Artist” in 2016 at the Hamilton Music Awards, was nominated for “Gospel Song of the Year” at the 2016 Canadian Gospel Music Awards, and won LVS’ 2021 Becoming “Standout Performance”. She has shared stages with several notable Canadian artists including opening for Jully Black. Budd’s notable musical theatre performances include Maria Rainer in Theatre Ancaster's "The Sound of Music", Elle Woods in Theatre Ancaster's "Legally Blonde: The Musical", and Ensemble/Eva’s Sister in the Brott Music Festival's "Evita". When she is not performing, Jennifer teaches musical theatre and contemporary at her vocal studio (Singer Studio) in Hamilton, ON. She is a member of SOCAN, CARAS, ORMTA, and is on the board of the Hamilton Music Festival (HMF) as well as a Director at Large with the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) board in Ontario.
